Feixiao — Honkai Star Rail Character Guide
Wind Hunt DPS · MoC T1 · PF T4 · AS T1
Overview
Fearsome single-target FUA DPS who accumulates Flying Aureus from ally actions to fuel a multi-hit Ultimate that counts as follow-up damage. Deals constant damage with virtually no ramp-up, but relies on frequent team actions and follow-up teammates for maximum Ultimate uptime.
Wind Hunt DPS who accumulates Flying Aureus points from ally actions to fuel a massive multi-hit Ultimate that counts as follow-up damage. Gains 1 Aureus per 2 ally attacks (including follow-ups, Ultimates, and summon actions — only her own Ultimate is excluded), needs 6 to activate Ultimate, and can bank up to 12 for back-to-back Ultimates. Deals constant damage via Talent follow-ups between turns, self-buffs from traces, and colossal single-target Ultimate bursts with virtually no ramp-up.
Key Mechanics
- Ultimate is the primary damage source (70-75%+ of total output), scaling with CRIT and follow-up attack buffs via A4. All follow-up-specific buffs (Robin, Topaz Proof of Debt, Duran Dynasty) amplify both the Ultimate and Talent follow-ups.
- Flying Aureus generation is team-dependent — faster allies and follow-up-heavy teammates generate more points per cycle. Feixiao's own Skill generates 1 full point per use (Skill + triggered follow-up = 2 attacks). A2 provides 3 starting points, so first Ultimate requires only 3 more points from team actions.
- SPD is flexible — can build ATK% boots for maximum burst damage (relying on teammates for Aureus generation) or SPD boots for MoC action value breakpoints (134+, 143+, 160+ for additional turns per cycle). Both are viable depending on content and team composition.
- Toughness damage is remarkably high for a non-Break character due to Ultimate ignoring Weakness Type and gaining 100% Weakness Break Efficiency against non-Broken targets. However, Feixiao is not suited for Super Break setups — her damage is CRIT and FUA-based.
- Self-buffs are effortless to maintain: 60% DMG from Talent follow-up (2-turn duration, refreshed every turn), 48% ATK from A6 (3-turn duration, refreshed on Skill use), and 36% CRIT DMG on all follow-ups from A4 (permanent passive).
Best Teams for Feixiao
Follow-Up Attack Core
Standard FUA team pairing Feixiao with a dedicated follow-up sub-DPS. The sub-DPS generates Flying Aureus through frequent follow-ups while providing personal damage and debuffs. Robin provides FUA-specific buffs and team Action Advance that triggers another Aureus-generating rotation. DH•PT or Aventurine handles sustain while contributing additional follow-ups. This composition fully leverages Feixiao's FUA synergies and is her most powerful and accessible team structure.

Hypercarry Amplifier
Feixiao as sole DPS with two amplifiers and one sustain. Trading the sub-DPS slot for a second amplifier stacks more buffs on Feixiao but reduces total team actions per cycle, slowing Flying Aureus generation. Best when the second amplifier provides its own action advance (Tribbie with Dance! Dance! Dance!) or when the content favors AoE coverage over raw FUA uptime. Accessible to players who own Robin but lack premium FUA sub-DPS options.

Investment Priority
- LC S1 — Signature provides 54% DEF ignore on Ultimate — translates to ~40% increased Ultimate DMG at S1, and stacks before the first hit. Largest single upgrade available at E0.
- E1 — Adds a separate unique multiplier up to 50% bonus Ultimate DMG — a separate multiplicative layer like Acheron's Nihility passive. Absurdly strong for an E1 and the recommended stopping point for moderate spenders.
- E2 — Grants 1 Flying Aureus per ally follow-up (up to 6/turn), dramatically increasing Ultimate frequency. The whale-bait eidolon — only pursue after E1 and signature.

Important Notes
- Flying Aureus generation is heavily team-dependent — fewer total ally actions means fewer Ultimate uses and noticeably lower damage output.
- Single-target Hunt unit with limited multi-target coverage — relies on Tribbie, AoE sustains, or Cipher to handle wave content in Pure Fiction.
- Despite very high Toughness damage, Feixiao is not suited for Super Break setups — her damage is CRIT and FUA-based, not Break Effect-based.
