Overview
4-star follow-up support who marks enemies as Prey to amplify all follow-up damage taken by 25% and deal consistent off-turn Lightning damage. Becomes untargetable in Departed state. SP-neutral via A2 SP recovery on follow-up. Scales steeply with E2.
Follow-up attack Hunt character who marks enemies as Prey via Skill, then enters the Departed state where he is untargetable and deals automatic Lightning DMG whenever allies attack the Prey target. Every 3 Charge consumed triggers a follow-up attack. Manages a 9-point Charge system that depletes through ally attacks, cycling between Departed state (off-field damage) and brief on-field windows to reapply Prey. Ultimate deals single-target Lightning DMG and immediately triggers a Talent follow-up.
Key Mechanics
- Prey counts as 2 debuffs on the target, enabling Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters 4pc CRIT bonuses and synergizing with Dr. Ratio's debuff-count follow-up trigger requirement.
- Moze's follow-up attacks have unusually high Toughness damage for a non-Break character — equal to a Basic ATK's Toughness reduction rather than the standard half-value for follow-ups.
- Energy management is the primary bottleneck at E0: 120 Energy cost with no Basic ATK access during Departed state. Follow-ups generate 10 Energy each (above average), but Ultimate uptime still suffers without E1.
- All of Moze's common attacks (Additional DMG procs, follow-ups, Ultimate) hit the Prey target multiple times per cycle, making hit-count-based Light Cones like Swordplay stack extremely fast.
- Departed state makes Moze completely untargetable by both enemies and allies, meaning his low defensive stats (352 DEF base) are irrelevant during most of combat.

FUA Hypercarry
Moze as follow-up support for a single FUA DPS hypercarry. This is Moze's primary role. Moze marks the priority target as Prey, amplifying all FUA damage taken by 25% (A6 baseline) and applying team-wide +40% CRIT DMG at E2. Two amplifiers provide action advance, damage buffs, and energy to accelerate the main DPS's follow-up cadence and Moze's Charge consumption. A FUA-capable sustain like Aventurine further accelerates Charge triggers while keeping the team alive. Moze spends most combat in Departed state, making his low DEF irrelevant.

Dual FUA DPS
Two follow-up DPS characters sharing Moze as support. Both DPS benefit from Prey's 25% FUA Vulnerability and 40% CRIT DMG at E2. A single amplifier provides FUA buffs and action advance while sustain handles survivability. This setup sacrifices some hypercarry optimization for broader damage distribution, useful when one DPS alone cannot handle all threats or when building redundancy across endgame modes. Moze's Charge consumption is accelerated by the additional DPS actions.

Investment Priority
- E2 — Team-wide +40% CRIT DMG on Prey converts Moze from sub-DPS to premium support. The single most impactful investment — this is the target to shoot for.
- E1 — On the way to E2. Solves energy rotation by granting 20 Energy on battle start and 2 Energy per Additional DMG proc, ensuring consistent Ultimate uptime in Departed state.
- LC S1 — Worrisome, Blissful provides FUA DMG%, CRIT Rate, and team CRIT DMG via Tame stacks. Lower priority than E2 — get signature after hitting the key eidolon milestone.
- E6 — +25% Talent follow-up DMG multiplier (160% → 200%). Strong personal damage increase, but prioritize E2 and E1 first.

Important Notes
- E2 strongly recommended before investing further — without it, Prey provides only personal sub-DPS value rather than team-wide support.
- Energy maintenance at E0 is inconsistent — Ultimate uptime suffers due to inability to use Basic ATK in Departed state. E1 substantially mitigates this.
- Single-target specialist — loses value in mass AoE content where Prey cannot amplify spread damage effectively.
- Requires follow-up focused teams to maximize value — generic teams waste the Prey FUA Vulnerability debuff.
