Luocha — Honkai Star Rail Character Guide
Imaginary Abundance Sustain · MoC T1 · PF T1 · AS T1
Overview
SP-positive healer whose Abyss Flower field heals attacking allies each turn and auto-Skill rescues anyone who drops below 50% HP without spending SP. Provides AoE dispel and near-immunity to crowd control, but offers zero offensive utility until E6.
ATK-scaling Abundance healer who deploys an Abyss Flower field that passively heals allies whenever they attack enemies. Manages a 2-stack Abyss Flower system — Skill and Ultimate each grant 1 stack, and at 2 stacks the field auto-deploys for 2 turns. Skill also has a passive emergency trigger that auto-heals any ally who drops below 50% HP (2-turn cooldown), making Luocha extremely SP-positive since he rarely needs to manually use Skill.
Key Mechanics
- All healing scales with ATK, not HP. Luocha has the 2nd highest base ATK (756) among Abundance characters, making ATK% investment directly increase healing output.
- Abyss Flower stacks cannot be gained while Field is active. Optimal rotation: use Ultimate when Field is about to expire so the new stack is ready immediately, then one more Skill/auto-trigger deploys the next Field with minimal downtime.
- Auto-Skill passive provides emergency healing and grants Abyss Flower stacks + Energy without spending SP or a turn. This interaction is critical to Luocha's SP economy and Field uptime — HP-draining DPS like Castorice and Mydei trigger it frequently.
- Field healing requires allies to attack enemies — pure buffer supports who only target allies (not enemies) only benefit from auto-Skill, not Field healing. Offensive Ultimates targeting enemies also trigger Field healing.
Best DPS Pairings

Investment Priority
- LC S1 — Signature provides highest ATK for healing output, Energy on hit for faster Ultimate cycling, and a team-wide SPD buff after Ultimate. Best first investment for better field uptime.
- E2 — Adds conditional 30% Outgoing Healing when ally is below 50% or a shield when above — meaningful defensive upgrade. Best eidolon stopping point before E6.
- E1 — 20% ATK buff for entire team during field uptime. Worthwhile in ATK-scaling teams on the way to E2, not a standalone target.
- E6 — Transforms Ultimate into a 20% All-Type RES shred for all enemies for 2 turns — the only eidolon that adds meaningful offensive utility. Only significant upgrade beyond E2.

Important Notes
- No panic healing Ultimate — relies on field healing and auto-Skill. If the entire team drops below field healing threshold simultaneously before any ally can attack, recovery is difficult.
- ATK scaling gives Luocha lower max HP than HP-scaling healers like Gallagher, Huohuo, or Lingsha. Requires HP substat investment if solo sustaining high-damage content.
- Provides zero offensive utility at E0-E5. Newer sustains like Aventurine, Gallagher, and Lingsha add team damage through shields, Break synergy, or follow-up attacks — Luocha does not.
- Outclassed by Gallagher in Break teams — Gallagher provides Break Effect buffs and a Besotted debuff that increases Break DMG taken, while matching Luocha's healing output.
- Field cannot heal allies who never attack enemies. Pure buffer supports that only target allies (not enemies) only benefit from the auto-Skill, not from the field's passive healing.
