Overview
Challenging F2P buffer providing 80% ATK, 28% CRIT Rate, and 65% CRIT DMG via Roaring Bowstrings. Demands precise speed tuning to buff the right allies, but delivers premium CRIT buffs when mastered. Only consistently competitive with Imbibitor Lunae in modern endgame.
Harmony buffer who grants 80% ATK via Roaring Bowstrings (Skill) and adds 28% CRIT Rate + 65% CRIT DMG when Ultimate is used while Bowstrings are active. Buffs expire after 2 ally turns, requiring precise speed tuning so the DPS acts immediately after Yukong. Talent enhances every other Basic ATK with bonus Imaginary DMG and doubled Toughness damage, making her a meaningful Toughness contributor despite being a support.
Key Mechanics
- Roaring Bowstrings expires after 2 ally turns — only 2 characters (besides Yukong) can benefit per Skill use. The DPS must act immediately after Yukong to receive both ATK and CRIT buffs.
- CRIT buffs from Ultimate only apply if Roaring Bowstrings is already active when casting. Using Ultimate without Bowstrings wastes the CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG entirely, dealing only damage.
- Extra Actions (follow-ups, Ultimates, counter-attacks) do NOT consume Roaring Bowstrings stacks — only regular turns consume stacks. Characters whose power is concentrated in Ultimates or extra actions can benefit from buffs even during turn desyncs.
- A6 trace is the backbone of Energy economy — without it (before level 75), Yukong cannot reliably cycle her 130-cost Ultimate. Memories of the Past LC supplements A6 with additional per-attack Energy.
- Speed tuning requires Yukong to be 1-2 SPD faster than the DPS. Any SPD fluctuation from buffs, debuffs, or Action Advances can desync turn order and waste buffs on the wrong ally.
Yukong Investment Priority
- E2 — Regenerates 5 Energy per ally reaching max Energy, resetting after Ultimate. Up to 15 Energy per rotation from 3 allies — dramatically reduces reliance on A6 and Memories of the Past for uptime.
- E6 — Grants 1 Roaring Bowstrings stack on Ultimate use, enabling Ult → Skill rotation and removing the constraint of needing active stacks before Ulting. Makes her significantly more forgiving.
- LC S5 — Memories of the Past S5 is the Energy backbone at E0-E1. At E2 the energy need relaxes, making S5 less mandatory — upgrade after hitting E2.
Yukong Relics and Stat Targets
Recommended: Messenger Traversing Hackerspace with Broken Keel
Stat targets: SPD 1-2 slower than sustain, Energy Regen Rate 19.44%+, HP 3700+, DEF 700+, Effect RES 30%+
Main stats: Body: CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG · Feet: SPD · Sphere: Imaginary DMG > ATK% · Rope: Energy Regen
Best Yukong Light Cones
- Memories of the Past (Best in Slot): Best-in-slot for Yukong. Provides 4-8 Energy per Enhanced Basic Attack (triggerable every 2 turns), totaling 8-16 Energy per rotation from attacks alone. Critical for maintaining Ultimate uptime alongside the A6 trace. The Break Effect bonus is minor but helps with Toughness damage from Enhanced Basics.
- But the Battle Isn't Over: Premium 5-star option. Energy Regen rate bonus directly improves Ultimate cycling, and the 30-50% DMG buff to the next acting ally pairs well with acting immediately before the DPS. SP refund is largely wasted on Yukong's alternate Skill/Basic rotation. Stronger base stats than 4-star options.
- Dance! Dance! Dance!: Team-wide 16-24% Action Advance on Ultimate use can help realign turn order after desyncs, and provides minor flat Energy regen. More useful as a recovery tool than a raw buff power increase. Limited availability as an event light cone.
- Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds: Randomly buffs all allies with ATK%, CRIT DMG, or Energy Regen at combat start. All three effects are useful in Yukong teams. The RNG dependency makes it inconsistent, and it provides no ongoing Energy generation, making Ultimate uptime harder to maintain without Memories of the Past.

Important Notes
- Most mechanically demanding support in the game — requires precise full-team speed tuning (Yukong 1-2 SPD faster than DPS)
- Roaring Bowstrings expires before the third ally's turn — only 2 characters benefit from buffs per Skill use
- Nearly always outperformed by easier Harmony options (Robin, Ruan Mei, Sunday, Tribbie) outside of DHIL
- Turn desyncs from enemy SPD debuffs or ally SPD buffs can ruin buff timing for the entire fight
- A6 trace is mandatory for Energy economy — very weak before unlocking at character level 75
- SP negative playstyle (Skill every other turn minimum) creates economy issues, especially at E0
- Ultimate must be used while Roaring Bowstrings is active to grant CRIT buffs — timing is critical
