Robin — Honkai Star Rail Character Guide
Physical Harmony Amplifier · MoC T1 · PF T1 · AS T1
Overview
Universal offensive support providing teamwide Action Advance, 50% DMG buff, and 20% CRIT DMG. Deals massive personal damage during Concerto state (100-120% ATK per ally attack). Specializes in Follow-up Attack teams via A4 trace but universally strong across all archetypes.
Universal Harmony support who enters Concerto state via Ultimate, granting all allies an immediate 100% Action Advance, a teamwide ATK buff scaling off Robin's own ATK (22.8% ATK + 200 flat at max level), and dealing Additional Physical DMG (120% ATK) with fixed 100% CRIT Rate and 150% CRIT DMG every time any ally attacks. Outside Concerto, provides a permanent 20% CRIT DMG buff to all allies via Talent and a 50% DMG buff via Skill lasting 3 of Robin's turns. Builds almost exclusively ATK — CRIT stats and SPD beyond ~120 are wasted.
Key Mechanics
- ATK is the only meaningful stat — scales both the teamwide ATK buff (22.8% of Robin's ATK) and Concerto Additional DMG (120% ATK). CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG from relics are completely wasted because Concerto hits have fixed 100% CR / 150% CD.
- Energy generation depends entirely on ally attack frequency and enemy AoE patterns. High-frequency teams (follow-up attackers, multi-hit DPS) generate far more Energy for Robin via Talent than slow single-hit teams. Position Robin mid-team to increase chance of being hit by enemy AoE for bonus Energy.
- SPD only matters up to ~120-121 to activate planar set bonuses (Sprightly Vonwacq, Fleet of the Ageless) and ensure Robin acts first at battle start via A2. During Concerto, SPD is fixed at 90 — all SPD investment beyond the activation threshold is wasted.
- Cannot act during Concerto — team must be SP-neutral or SP-positive without Robin's contribution. The Skill buff persists through Concerto because the fixed SPD 90 countdown means Robin's turns pass very slowly, stretching the 3-turn duration.
- Standard teams generate 12-15 Additional DMG hits per Concerto; dedicated follow-up teams achieve 20-30 hits. Robin's personal damage can represent 15-25% of total team output in high-frequency compositions.

Investment Priority
- LC S1 — Signature's 15% ERR is critical for consistent 160-cost Ultimate rotation. High base ATK scales both the team ATK buff and Concerto damage significantly.
- E1 — Best stopping point for spenders. 24% All-Type RES PEN during Concerto is a 15-20% team DPS increase without requiring enemy debuffs — universal and multiplicative.
- E2 — 16% SPD buff for the whole team during Concerto accelerates total action count per cycle. Extra Energy from Talent helps sustain Ultimate rotation.

Important Notes
- Very high Energy cost (160) requires dedicated planning — ERR rope, signature LC, Huohuo, or AoE Energy sources needed for consistent Ultimate uptime.
- Energy regeneration depends entirely on team attack frequency — wildly inconsistent across different DPS archetypes and enemy patterns.
- Auto-battle is highly inefficient — the AI wastes the 100% Action Advance by using Ultimate on already-acted characters.
- SPD substats are completely wasted during Concerto (fixed SPD 90) — only enough SPD to act first at battle start (~120-121) is needed.
- CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG substats provide zero value for Concerto hit damage (fixed 100% CR, 150% CD) — invest solely in ATK.
- Cannot act during Concerto — team must be SP-neutral or SP-positive without her contribution for the entire Concerto duration.
- Position mid-team in the party lineup to increase likelihood of being clipped by enemy AoE attacks for bonus Energy generation.
