Guide

Overview

Dual-role Erudition DPS who implants all 7 Weakness Types via Bounce Skill and Ultimate, enabling universal Toughness break and 28% DEF ignore. With a second Erudition ally he grants a 50% team DMG buff, making him a premier Erudition partner.

Wind Erudition DPS who implants all 7 Weakness Types onto enemies via Bounce Skill hits and AoE Ultimate, enabling universal Toughness Break for the entire team. Core loop: use Skill to bounce 5 hits across enemies (implanting one Weakness per hit via Talent), reach 5+ Weakness Types to trigger Qualitative Disclosure state, then receive a free bonus Skill on every attack against Disclosed targets. Generates 60 Energy per turn consistently regardless of Skill or Basic ATK usage, enabling 2-turn Ultimate cycles.

Key Mechanics

  • Weakness Implant does NOT grant the natural elemental DMG bonus and does NOT reduce an enemy's inherent elemental RES — high-RES enemies still resist damage of implanted types. RES PEN from teammates is needed to compensate.
  • Skill bounces prioritize unhit enemies first, making it efficient at spreading Weaknesses across all targets. Against a single target, all 5 hits land on it (350% ATK total) and rapidly implant 5 different Weakness Types.
  • The free Talent Skill generates full Energy (30) and implants additional Weaknesses, effectively doubling Anaxa's output per turn when Qualitative Disclosure is active.
  • Energy economy: 60 Energy per turn guaranteed (Skill 30 + free Talent Skill 30, or Basic ATK 30 from A2 + free Talent Skill 30). With 140-cost Ultimate, this means consistent 2-turn Ultimates with only 15-20 Energy needed from external sources or getting hit.
  • A4 Trace creates a fundamental team-building choice: solo Erudition grants 140% personal CRIT DMG (hypercarry), while dual Erudition grants 50% team DMG buff (dual-DPS). E6 activates both simultaneously.

Anaxa FAQ

Who works best with Anaxa in HSR?

Anaxa's best team options include Cyrene, Cerydra, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae. StarGuide rates teammates by role and composition fit so the recommendation reflects how the character is actually played.

What relics should Anaxa use?

Anaxa's recommended relic setup is As Navigator Isee Sees It with Rutilant Arena, with stat targets around CRIT Rate ~100% in combat, CRIT DMG 140%+, ATK 3,000-3,500.

What is the best light cone for Anaxa?

Life Should Be Cast to Flames is the top listed light cone for Anaxa. Signature LC. Regenerates 10 Energy at turn start, enabling consistent 2-turn Ultimates with ATK Rope instead of Energy Rope. Grants 80% DMG buff against targets Anaxa has implanted weaknesses on (nearly always active). Applies 12% DEF reduction on hit, stacking with A6 DEF ignore and E1 for massive combined DEF penetration that benefits all teammates.

How should I invest in Anaxa?

Anaxa's first listed investment priority is LC S1. Signature provides the 10 Energy/turn needed for consistent 2-turn Ultimates with ATK Rope, plus 80% DMG buff vs implanted targets and 12% DEF reduction benefiting the whole team. Most impactful single upgrade.

Important Notes

  • A4 Trace is an either/or: with 1 Erudition (solo), Anaxa gains 140% personal CRIT DMG; with 2+ Erudition, all allies gain 50% DMG. Only E6 grants both simultaneously.
  • Without the signature LC, an Energy Rope is required for consistent 2-turn Ultimates in dual-DPS teams, costing roughly 15-20% personal damage versus ATK Rope.
  • Weakness implant does not grant the natural elemental DMG bonus and does not reduce an enemy's inherent RES — high-RES enemies still resist the corresponding damage type.
  • Skill bounces distribute damage across targets (70% ATK per hit) rather than concentrating it. AoE scaling is compensated by the 20% DMG bonus per enemy on field, not raw numbers.
  • Anaxa's own eidolons are weak spender stops — E0 with his signature at S1 is the practical endpoint, and further pulls buy more damage in Cerydra or Cyrene than in his dupes.

Anaxa Relics and Stat Targets

Recommended: As Navigator Isee Sees It with Rutilant Arena

Stat targets: CRIT Rate ~100% in combat, CRIT DMG 140%+, ATK 3,000-3,500, SPD Base (97)

Main stats: Body: CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG · Feet: ATK% > SPD · Sphere: ATK% > Wind DMG · Rope: ATK%

Best Anaxa Light Cones

  • Life Should Be Cast to Flames (Best in Slot): Signature LC.
  • Into the Unreachable Veil: Provides 12% CRIT Rate at S1, a 60% Skill and Ultimate DMG buff after Ultimate, and 1 SP refund per 140-Energy Ultimate. In carry Anaxa teams with Cerydra, the refund eases their shared SP pressure; it is a close alternative when a spare copy is available, while Anaxa's signature remains the best overall option for its 10 Energy per turn and ATK Rope flexibility.
  • The Great Cosmic Enterprise: Best F2P option. Grants up to 56% DMG at 7 Weakness Types — which Anaxa's Ultimate applies instantly to all enemies. Ramp-up is slower in wave content where fresh enemies spawn without pre-stacked weaknesses, but his Skill and Talent recover stacks quickly. Solid baseline that scales naturally with his kit.
  • Today Is Another Peaceful Day: Consistent 56% DMG boost at S5 with no conditions, scaling off his 140-cost Ultimate. Reliable alternative when The Great Cosmic Enterprise is unavailable or when you prefer a flat damage increase over the ramp-up mechanic.
