ATK-scaling Preservation sustain who designates one ally as a Bondmate and summons Souldragon to passively stack shields and cleanse debuffs. Souldragon acts independently at 165 SPD, providing teamwide shields every action without spending SP. Ultimate enhances Souldragon to launch Follow-up ATKs dealing AoE Physical DMG plus Additional DMG of the Bondmate's Type scaling off the Bondmate's ATK. Provides a 15% ATK buff to the Bondmate via A2 trace, and Souldragon counts as the Bondmate's summon for effects like Sunday's 80% DMG buff.

Key Mechanics

• Souldragon counts as the Bondmate's summon. This enables Sunday's full 80% DMG buff (normally reserved for summon/memosprite owners) on any character. When Sunday advances the Bondmate, Souldragon is also advanced, generating even more shields.
• Shields scale entirely off ATK, not DEF. Most Preservation LCs provide DEF with low base ATK, making them suboptimal. High base ATK off-path LCs can outperform many on-path options.
• Enhanced Souldragon's Additional DMG scales off the Bondmate's ATK and deals the Bondmate's element Type. This is not considered an attack by the Bondmate — it is a separate damage instance from the summon.
• SP positive in practice because Souldragon passively maintains shields at 165 SPD. After the initial Skill, Dan Heng can spam Basic ATK to generate SP for the team while Souldragon handles sustain duties.
• Designed for ATK-scaling hypercarries. The 15% ATK buff from A2, Souldragon summon enabling Sunday interaction, and Additional DMG scaling off the Bondmate's ATK all favor high-ATK single carry setups.

Investment Priority

1. E2 — Largest investment breakpoint — doubles enhanced Souldragon actions from 2 to 4, immediately advances Souldragon after Ultimate, and doubles both Additional DMG and Shield Effect on enhanced Souldragon attacks.
2. LC S1 — Signature grants 64% ATK (boosting shields and the ATK buff), heals all allies on Ultimate, and provides 24-36% DMG buff increased further for characters with summons — easily triggered by Souldragon.
3. E1 — SP refund on Ultimate and 18% All-Type RES PEN for Bondmate. Strong QoL in SP-intensive teams, especially useful before E2.

Important Notes

• ATK-scaling sustain — provides no meaningful offensive value for HP-scaling or DEF-scaling DPS characters.
• Only one Bondmate at a time — limits effectiveness in compositions with multiple primary damage dealers competing for the summon.
• Self-Enshrouded Recluse 4pc CRIT DMG buff is wasted in DoT teams — adjust relic set accordingly when supporting DoT compositions.
• Preservation Light Cone options are limited due to ATK scaling — most Preservation LCs scale with DEF and have low base ATK, making off-path high base ATK LCs viable alternatives.
• Sunday synergy is this character's primary competitive edge over other sustains. Without Sunday in the team, the advantage narrows considerably.
