Overview

Fire Erudition hypercarry built on her Starblazer mech's shared Assist Skill: Trailblaze Companions fire it without losing their turn, flipping her between the Verdict and Decimation states and feeding an AoE bounce Ultimate that Breaks any enemy.

Fire Erudition hypercarry built around the Assist Skill — her Starblazer territory grants the team a shared Assist Skill that any ally can fire in place of their action. Trailblaze Companions keep their action (they gain an extra turn during which they can use their Ultimate) and switch Himeko between two buff states: Verdict (personal DMG and Ultimate DMG) or Decimation (team-wide CRIT DMG). She builds 150 Energy through Assist Skill spam toward a two-button Ultimate that takes direct control of Starblazer.

Key Mechanics

  • Assist Skill scaling: ally-cast 160% ATK AoE plus 3 bounces of 24% ATK; Himeko-cast 200% ATK AoE plus 4 bounces of 32% ATK. Each use gives Himeko 18 Energy. Assist Skills are NOT follow-up attacks — follow-up-conditional light cones and relics do not trigger.
  • Trailblaze Companions: all Trailblazer forms, all March 7th forms (including Evernight), all Dan Heng forms, Welt, Sunday, and Himeko herself. At least 1 other Trailblaze Companion is needed to access the Companion Protocol states; non-Companions can fire the Assist Skill but consume their turn (until E2).
  • Free Assist Skills from either state cap at 2 between Ultimates (reset when she Ults), count as Himeko-cast, and trigger-counter progress persists across state switches — only the active state's buffs apply, and the state can only change once per her turn.
  • Starblazer is NOT a summon — summon-conditional effects (Band of Amusement 4pc, Sunday's summon-tier buffs) do not apply to it.
  • Her weakness-type-ignoring Toughness damage means she Breaks any enemy regardless of Fire weakness, triggering the Fire Break effect.
  • Auto-battle fires Assist Skills immediately without managing states — meaningful damage loss on auto; manual play is strongly rewarded.
  • assist-skill
  • Assist Skill — Trailblaze, By Your Side
  • A shared team ability granted by Starblazer's territory. Any ally can press it on their turn to command Starblazer to attack (AoE + bounces). It counts as Himeko using her Skill for all trigger purposes, costs 0 SP, and is the engine of both her damage and her Energy economy.
  • The team shares 1 use (2 at E2); Himeko's Skill refills all uses and her Semaphore field regains 1 use at the start of every turn. Her own casts are free (A2).
  • Ally-cast: 160% ATK AoE + 3 bounces × 24% ATK. Himeko-cast: 200% ATK AoE + 4 bounces × 32% ATK (free Assist Skills from states use her scaling).
  • Energy: Himeko gains 18 Energy per Assist Skill use; the ally who fires it regenerates 4 Energy.
  • A Trailblaze Companion firing it gains an extra turn during which they can use their Ultimate (A4) — so buffs like DDD or Eagle boots can be exploited on the extra turn. Non-Companions consume their turn until E2.
  • Using the Assist Skill counts as a Skill use by Himeko — it stacks As Navigator Sees It 4pc and charges effects that key off Skill usage (e.g. Cerydra's Charge).
  • stance
  • Companion Protocol (Verdict / Decimation)
  • When a Trailblaze Companion other than Himeko fires the Assist Skill, she enters one of two states depending on the user. Only one state is active at a time; entering the other trigger's state overrides it, and progress on both free-Assist counters persists across switches.
  • Verdict — triggered by any Trailblazer, Sunday, or any Dan Heng: increases Himeko's DMG by 100% and additionally her Ultimate DMG by 100%. After teammates actively use their Ultimate 2 times, she launches 1 free Assist Skill.
  • Decimation — triggered by Welt, any March 7th (including Evernight), or Himeko (the original): increases ALL allies' CRIT DMG by 100% and additionally the CRIT DMG dealt by Skills by 100% (Assist Skills count as Skill damage). Gains 1 Charge per enemy hit by an ally (no overcap); at 9 Charges, launches 1 free Assist Skill that cannot itself gain Charge.
  • Free Assist Skills cap at 2 between her Ultimates; the count resets when she uses her Ultimate.
  • Verdict is the consistent default in low target counts; Decimation buffs harder (team-wide, Skill-weighted) but its Charge economy needs multi-target hits.
  • resource
  • Source Energy
  • Ultimate-local resource. Hyperluminal Particle Beam generates it, Orbital Annihilation Pulse consumes it for bounce damage. A6 grants 3 on Ultimate cast, enabling the standard Pulse-first loop.
  • Cap 3 (6 at E6). A6: +3 on Ultimate cast, and at 3+ Source Energy the Pulse's random-single-enemy multiplier increases by 30%.
  • Standard sequence: Pulse, 3 Beams, Pulse, 3 Beams, Pulse, then the automatic Final Hit — the Auto button plays the optimal sequence during the Ultimate.
  • At E6, ally Assist Skill uses also generate Source Energy outside the Ultimate, Beams grant 2 total, and a 6-Source-Energy Pulse adds a 160% ATK Fire AoE hit.

Himeko • Nova FAQ

Who works best with Himeko • Nova in HSR?

Himeko • Nova's best team options include Sunday, Sparkle, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae. StarGuide rates teammates by role and composition fit so the recommendation reflects how the character is actually played.

What relics should Himeko • Nova use?

Himeko • Nova's recommended relic setup is As Navigator Isee Sees It with Fallen Star Anchorage, with stat targets around CRIT Rate ~100% in combat, CRIT DMG 130-150%+, ATK 3,500-4,000+.

What is the best light cone for Himeko • Nova?

A Star That Lights the Night is the top listed light cone for Himeko • Nova. Signature and clear best-in-slot. Permanent 32% DEF ignore, 6 Energy every time an Assist Skill is used — which is what makes her two-turn Ultimate rotation consistent at 150 cost — and easily-maintained Sail stacks worth up to 60% Assist Skill DMG plus 60% Ultimate DMG. Erudition's generic cone pool is weak, so the gap over non-signature options is larger than usual.

How should I invest in Himeko • Nova?

Himeko • Nova's first listed investment priority is LC S1. Signature adds 32% DEF ignore, 6 Energy per Assist Skill (fixing her inconsistent two-turn Ultimate at S0), and up to 60% Assist Skill and Ultimate DMG. Largest single upgrade and the default first stop — Erudition lacks strong generic cones.

Build

Himeko • Nova Investment Priority

  1. LC S1 — Signature adds 32% DEF ignore, 6 Energy per Assist Skill (fixing her inconsistent two-turn Ultimate at S0), and up to 60% Assist Skill and Ultimate DMG. Largest single upgrade and the default first stop — Erudition lacks strong generic cones.
  2. E1 — Third free Assist Skill charge, Verdict needs only 1 ally Ultimate, Decimation only 6 Charges, and her own casts gain an extra bounce. Fixes the free-Assist economy; takes priority over S1 only if The Herta's signature is available as her cone.
  3. E2 — Biggest single power jump: double ally Assist uses per turn, a flat 1.3x multiplier on Ultimate and Assist Skill damage, and any character (not just Trailblaze Companions) keeps their turn — unlocking flexible team building. E2S1 is the spender sweet spot.

Himeko • Nova Relics and Stat Targets

Recommended: As Navigator Isee Sees It with Fallen Star Anchorage

Stat targets: CRIT Rate ~100% in combat, CRIT DMG 130-150%+, ATK 3,500-4,000+, SPD Base (~98), or 134-135 tuned

Main stats: Body: CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG · Feet: ATK% · Sphere: ATK% > Fire DMG · Rope: ATK%

Best Himeko • Nova Light Cones

  • A Star That Lights the Night (Best in Slot): Signature and clear best-in-slot.
  • Into the Unreachable Veil: Best non-signature option if The Herta freed it up. 12% CRIT Rate covers her hungriest stat and the 60% Skill and Ultimate DMG window after Ultimate covers both damage buckets — Assist Skills count as Skill damage. The 1-SP-on-Ultimate clause needs 140+ Energy consumed, which her 150-cost Ultimate satisfies.
  • Night on the Milky Way: Best generic 5-star option, and stronger with superimpositions from standard-banner duplicates. Per-enemy ATK stacking plus a 30% DMG window on Weakness Break — she Breaks everything herself via weakness-type-ignoring Toughness damage, so the Break window is more reliable for her than for most Erudition users. Strongest in multi-target content.
  • Eternal Calculus: Best F2P pick — reliably obtainable at S5 from the Herta Store. Per-hit ATK stacking loves her multi-hit Assist Skills (AoE + bounces refresh stacks every cast), and the 3-hit SPD proc is nearly permanent in AoE. Solid foundation until the signature or a premium alternative is available.

Teams

Best Himeko • Nova Teams

Mono-Verdict Hypercarry

Permanent Verdict shells built on Trailblazer, Sunday, or Dan Heng triggers. The fastest Ultimate rotation and the most consistent playstyle — Verdict's personal DMG and Ultimate DMG buffs work at any enemy count, and the team spams Assist Skills on Trailblaze Companion turns without losing actions.

Mono-Decimation (Welt Core)

Permanent Decimation around Welt — the harder-hitting mode: +100% CRIT DMG for the whole team plus another +100% on Skill damage, which covers Assist Skills. Charge economy wants 3+ targets; the ceiling assumes Welt E4 and Mortenax Blade, whose Skill-riding damage exploits Decimation like no one else.

  • S-tier: Himeko • Nova, Welt, Mortenax Blade, Huohuo
  • A-tier: Himeko • Nova, Welt, Sparkle, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae

Sustainless Express

Her highest peak: Welt and Mortenax Blade as double pseudo-sustains with Remembrance Trailblazer advancing. Welt delays and slows, Blade taunts, tanks, and self-heals, and Mem soaks hits — one of the safer sustainless setups, with the most total amplification of any of her teams.
