Overview

Follow-up ATK Hunt DPS who marks enemies as Bait to trigger chain attacks. Provides teamwide 40% DEF Reduction and 120% CRIT DMG to FUA allies. Hypercarry and sub-DPS, with Ultimate consuming Gluttony stacks for multi-hit kill chains.

Follow-up ATK Hunt DPS who marks enemies as Bait via Skill or Ultimate, then launches follow-up attacks whenever allies hit the Bait. Manages two resources: Charge (max 3, consumed per follow-up) and Gluttony stacks (max 12, consumed during Ultimate for additional damage instances). His Ultimate deals massive single-target damage and chains kills to new Bait targets. Provides permanent teamwide 40% DEF Reduction and 40-120% CRIT DMG buff via traces, making him an exceptional buffer even while dealing top-tier personal damage.

Key Mechanics

Best Ashveil Teams

FUA Hypercarry

Ashveil as the solo carry with an advance support, a non-advance amplifier, and a sustain. This is currently his strongest playstyle — hypercarry outperforms dual-carry because Ashveil gets more turns and more Energy, meaning more Ultimates. Since all his damage is tied to Ultimate timing, maximizing Ultimate frequency is paramount. The advance support provides extra turns while the amplifier ideally contributes attacks to generate Bait energy. Dan Heng PT is the preferred sustain due to Souldragon's attack frequency feeding Ashveil's Energy loop.

Dual Carry

Ashveil as sub-DPS alongside another carry. The primary pairing is Feixiao — both chain follow-ups bidirectionally, with Ashveil's 120% FUA CRIT DMG and 40% DEF Reduction massively amplifying Feixiao. Post-Novaflare Welt is a strong alternative partner — dual 40% DEF shred stacks toward the ~80% cap and Welt's A2 Retribution grants Ashveil up to +100% DMG via per-hit stacking on his multi-hit FUAs. Note that dual-carry underperforms hypercarry for Ashveil's personal damage since he gets fewer turns and less Energy, but it's the optimal way to play Feixiao teams and enables deep debuff layering with Welt.

Sustainless FUA

Maximum damage ceiling by running three amplifiers with no sustain. Extremely risky due to Ashveil's paper-thin DEF (382) and HP (853) — the lowest defensive stats among 5-star DPS. Only viable for speed-clear scenarios where enemies die before they can threaten the team. RMC + Tribbie + Tingyun with double Dance Dance Dance is the primary sustainless composition.

Ashveil Investment Priority

  1. LC S1 — Signature provides 18% CRIT Rate, 40% ATK, and 20% teamwide Vulnerability. Scales into both main DPS and sub-DPS roles. Also usable on Feixiao, Moze, and other Hunt characters. Roughly equal to E1 in personal damage — cheaper and more versatile.
  2. E1 — Adds 24-36% Vulnerability (scaling with enemy HP). Excellent teamwide amplification that remains strong even in sub-DPS role. Diminished value if team already has Vulnerability sources (Tribbie, Cipher, S1 LC).
  3. E2 — Raises Gluttony cap to 18 and refunds 35% of consumed stacks after enhanced follow-up. Enables one extra damage instance and higher A4 DMG bonus. Decent but not a transformative upgrade — best stopping point for spenders.
