DoT-focused Nihility DPS who stacks a unique debuff called Arcana on enemies. Arcana counts as all four standard DoT types (Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn, Shock) simultaneously, triggering synergies with any DoT-related effect. At the start of each enemy turn, Arcana deals Wind DoT scaling with ATK and stack count, ignoring 20% DEF, then halves its stacks. Manages 120-Energy Ultimate cycle while providing permanent DEF shred, periodic Vulnerability, and a teamwide DMG% buff scaling with Effect Hit Rate.

Key Mechanics

• Arcana simultaneously counts as Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn, and Shock at all times. This triggers all DoT-type-specific synergies (E1 RES shred, Prisoner set DEF ignore, Kafka detonations, Hysilens Zone interactions) without needing those actual DoTs applied separately.
• Arcana stacks halve instead of resetting after dealing DMG on enemy turns. With Epiphany active, stacks are not halved at all. This means high Arcana counts are maintained persistently once ramped, making Black Swan's damage extremely consistent after the first rotation.
• A6 provides up to 72% teamwide DMG bonus at 120% EHR — this buffs all allies including Kafka and Hysilens. Building 120% EHR is both a personal damage requirement and a team support contribution.
• DEF shred from A4 is automatically applied to enemies entering combat and on every Basic ATK/Ultimate hit. Combined with Arcana's innate 20% DEF ignore and Prisoner 4pc up to 18% DEF ignore, enemy DEF is reduced by multiple layers simultaneously.
• Most of Black Swan's damage triggers on enemy turns (Arcana DoT) and is independent of her own action speed. SPD primarily affects how quickly she stacks Arcana and applies debuffs, not the damage timing itself. Base SPD is viable; 134 or 160 are optional breakpoints for more personal actions.

Ruan Mei is the generalist alternative providing multiplicative RES PEN and SPD scaling.

Investment Priority

1. E1 — Passively reduces all four elemental RES types by 25% on DoT-afflicted enemies — amplifies the entire team's damage with no upkeep cost. Recommended first investment target.
2. LC S1 — Signature provides 40% EHR (frees relic slots for ATK), 20% ATK, and 28.8% DEF ignore at S1. The EHR alone reduces EHR substat pressure significantly.
3. E2 — Inflicts 30 Arcana on enemies entering combat at 100% rate. Strongest in Pure Fiction where enemies frequently rotate, but less impactful in single-phase fights where premium DoT teams ramp quickly anyway.

Important Notes

• 120% Effect Hit Rate caps A6 trace at 72% teamwide DMG bonus (scales linearly — partial value at lower EHR). EHR body is standard, but ATK% body works if your LC and substats reach 120% without it.
• Still dependent on Kafka for peak performance — without detonations, Arcana stacks form only on enemy turns, significantly reducing both ramp speed and burst potential.
• 120 Energy Ultimate cost requires careful energy management. Huohuo's Ultimate energy restore or careful SP management is needed for consistent Epiphany uptime.
• Treat as hypercarry investment level — every stat bump (ATK, EHR, SPD) produces disproportionate returns. Do not underbuild relative to the rest of the DoT team.
• SPD tuning: Black Swan's DEF shred is now permanently applied via A4 (auto-applies on combat entry and Basic ATK/Ultimate), so acting before Kafka is no longer mandatory for DEF shred. However, acting first still benefits Arcana stacking — applying DoTs before Kafka detonates lets Arcana accumulate faster.
