Overview
Momentum-driven single-target DPS who excels when enemies are Weakness Broken. Sword Stance triggers guaranteed extra Physical hits on Broken foes, while her Talent grants 20% SPD and A6 advances her action by 15% each turn — making her deceptively fast in sustained Break cycles.
Momentum-driven single-target Hunt DPS whose damage and speed are contingent on enemies being Weakness Broken. Skill has a 33% chance to trigger Sword Stance (guaranteed on Broken enemies), dealing an additional Physical hit. Ultimate deals massive single-target damage, immediately grants another turn via 100% Action Advance, and buffs Skill with 2 extra Sword Stance chances for 2 turns. Talent provides 20% SPD when any enemy on the field is Broken, and A6 advances her action by 15% after every Basic ATK or Skill while a Broken enemy exists.
Key Mechanics
- Nearly all offensive power is gated behind Weakness Break status — Sword Stance becomes guaranteed, Talent SPD activates, and A6 Action Advance triggers. Without Broken enemies, Sword Stance has only a 33% proc chance and both SPD and Action Advance bonuses are inactive.
- Ultimate provides 100% Action Advance (immediate extra turn) plus 30% ATK and 2 extra Sword Stance chances for 2 turns. Best used right before Skill against a Broken enemy to guarantee all 3 Sword Stance procs for maximum 410% ATK burst.
- SP negative at E0 — requires SP-positive teammates (Gallagher, Pela) or E1 which refunds 1 SP per Skill against Broken enemies. Without SP management, Sushang cannot sustain Skill spam.
- Purely single-target with no AoE capability outside Technique. Completely unsuitable for Pure Fiction or multi-wave content requiring AoE damage.
Best Sushang Teams
Fugue Dahlia Super Break
Premium Break composition combining Fugue's Exo-Toughness with The Dahlia's Zone to achieve near-constant Break uptime. Fugue guarantees Sushang can Break any enemy regardless of weakness type, while Dahlia's Zone enables Super Break damage even between Breaks. Together they solve both of Sushang's core weaknesses: break dependency and coverage gaps. Lingsha provides a separate Break DMG Taken multiplier and additional Toughness damage on top of strong sustain.
- S-tier: Sushang, Tingyun • Fugue, The Dahlia, Lingsha
- A-tier: Sushang, Tingyun • Fugue, The Dahlia, Gallagher
Standard Break
Accessible Break composition using Harmony Trailblazer and Ruan Mei to support Sushang without the premium Fugue or Dahlia slots. HMC provides Super Break multipliers and Toughness reduction each turn, while Ruan Mei extends Weakness Break duration for longer damage windows and provides universal RES PEN. Requires either Physical-weak enemies or a weakness solution. Gallagher serves double duty as SP battery and Break sustain.
- A-tier: Sushang, Trailblazer • Harmony, Ruan Mei, Gallagher
- B-tier: Sushang, Trailblazer • Harmony, Ruan Mei, Lingsha
Best Sushang Teammates
Amplifiers: Tingyun • Fugue (S+), The Dahlia (S+), Ruan Mei (A), Trailblazer • Harmony (A), Silver Wolf (B), Pela (C), Bronya (C)
Sustains: Lingsha (S+), Gallagher (A), Luocha (B), Fu Xuan (B), Natasha (C)
Sushang Investment Priority
- E1 — Refunds 1 SP per Skill use against Broken enemies, converting Sushang from SP-negative to SP-neutral in Break windows. The single most impactful investment.
- E4 — +40% Break Effect creates a positive feedback loop: faster Breaks mean more Sword Stance procs, more SPD, and more Action Advance uptime.
- LC S1 — Signature LC provides Break Effect, DEF ignore, and SPD — all directly relevant stats. Get after core eidolons.
- E6 — Doubles SPD Talent to 40% total and grants a free starting stack, approaching Seele-level turn frequency against Broken enemies.
Sushang Relics and Stat Targets
Recommended: Champion of Streetwise Boxing with Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
Stat targets: SPD 134 / 143 / 160, CRIT Rate 60-70%+, CRIT DMG 120-140%+, Break Effect 0-120%+
Main stats: Body: CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG · Feet: SPD > ATK% · Sphere: Physical DMG > ATK% · Rope: Break Effect > ATK%
Best Sushang Light Cones
- Sailing Towards A Second Life (Best in Slot): Best-in-slot LC providing 60-100% Break Effect (at S1), DEF ignore on Break DMG scaling up to 32%, and 12-20% SPD when Break Effect exceeds 150%. All three effects directly serve Sushang's kit — Break Effect fuels faster Breaks, DEF ignore amplifies her Break damage, and the SPD threshold is easily met with her E4 or team Break Effect buffs.
- In the Night: Strong CRIT-focused alternative. Provides CRIT Rate and stacking CRIT DMG on Basic ATK and Skill use (up to 6 stacks). Works well in full CRIT builds but does not contribute to Sushang's Break loop. Best when running a CRIT-focused rather than Break Effect-focused build.
- Cruising in the Stellar Sea: Accessible 5-star option from the Herta Store. Provides CRIT Rate and conditional ATK when enemies are below 50% HP. Solid floor option when both premium LCs are assigned elsewhere. Performance is consistent since Sushang frequently attacks enemies at varying HP thresholds.
- Swordplay: Best 4-star budget option. Provides stacking DMG boost up to 5 stacks for hitting the same target repeatedly — a natural fit for Sushang's single-target focus. Performance degrades significantly if forced to switch targets mid-fight, so it's strongest against bosses and Elite enemies.

- Damage and turn rate collapse entirely without Weakness Broken enemies — build teams around ensuring consistent Breaks.
- Purely single-target: do not deploy in Pure Fiction or multi-wave content where AoE is required.
- SP-negative without E1 — prioritize SP-positive sustains like Gallagher or SP-neutral amplifiers to compensate at E0.
- Performance ceiling is noticeably lower than premium 5-star Hunt DPS even at high investment. Best used as a Physical coverage pick.
