Overview

Break support who enables Exo-Toughness for double Weakness Breaks and provides universal Super Break damage. Allows allies to ignore enemy Weakness Types while shredding DEF.

Break and Super Break focused Nihility support who passively applies Exo-Toughness (Cloudflame Luster) to all enemies via Talent, enabling a second Weakness Break without recovery. Grants one ally Foxian Prayer via Skill for Break Effect, Weakness Type ignore, and triggers DEF shred on attacked enemies. All Super Break DMG is provided passively — allies attacking Weakness Broken enemies automatically deal 100% Super Break DMG while Fugue is on the field.

Key Mechanics

• Cloudflame Luster (Exo-Toughness) equals 40% of enemy Max Toughness and enables a second Weakness Break. This double Break is transformational for characters who gain resources from Breaks: Boothill gains Pocket Trickshot stacks, Rappa gains Energy and Talent Charges, Himeko gains follow-up Charges.
• Super Break DMG (100% at max Talent) is provided passively with no maintenance — weaker than Harmony Trailblazer's 160% but requires no buff uptime management. All allies benefit as long as Fugue is on the field.
• DEF shred (18%) requires 67% Effect Hit Rate for consistent application against endgame enemies (100% base chance - 33% enemy Effect RES). The shred triggers every time the Foxian Prayer ally attacks, providing excellent uptime.
• Foxian Prayer's Weakness Type ignore at 50% effectiveness is most valuable on non-DPS teammates (Gallagher, Lingsha, Aventurine) who lack native Weakness implant. Break DPS like Firefly and Rappa already have their own Weakness ignore mechanics.
• Ultimate at 130 Energy cost is expensive relative to Fugue's Energy generation. Enhanced Basic ATK does not provide bonus Energy. The Ultimate is a supplemental tool for AoE Toughness damage, not a rotation centerpiece.

Investment Priority

1. E1 — Ally with Foxian Prayer gains 50% Weakness Break Efficiency, accelerating Breaks by roughly 33%. Essential first target for Boothill, Rappa, and Himeko who gain transformational value from double Breaks. Without E1, Fugue is functional but significantly slower.
2. LC S1 — Signature cone provides 60% Break Effect at S1 and Charring debuff (18% Break DMG Taken, stackable to 36%). Critical for reaching 220% Break Effect threshold without sacrificing substats. Second priority after E1.
3. E2 — Fugue regenerates 3 Energy on Weakness Break and Ultimate advances all allies by 24%. Major tempo improvement enabling reliable Ultimate uptime. Best stopping point for spenders.

Important Notes

• DEF shred requires 67% Effect Hit Rate for consistent application - without it, shred uptime drops significantly
• E0 Super Break (100%) is weaker than Harmony Trailblazer (160%) for Firefly - 60% difference is substantial for Super Break dependent DPS
• E0 Foxian Prayer only buffs one ally - limits team-wide utility until E6
• Ultimate is expensive (130 Energy) and not critical to kit - low priority for investment
• Requires 220% Break Effect in combat to maximize A6 trace - typically needs 190% on stat screen with Forge or 160% with signature cone
• Exo-Toughness (40% Max Toughness) requires significant Toughness damage to Break - not always achievable in 1-2 rotations against high-toughness enemies without Ruan Mei Weakness Break Efficiency
• Dahlia vs Ruan Mei choice: Dahlia provides higher Super Break scaling (200% vs 100%) and Follow-up Attack damage contribution, but lacks RES PEN (25%). Use Dahlia for Follow-up Attack-focused Break DPS (Boothill, Rappa) when needing maximum upfront damage. Use Ruan Mei for universal applicability and RES PEN multiplier on all Break damage including DoTs.
