Overview
Single-target Quantum DPS whose Resurgence grants extra turns and an 80% DMG boost on kill. Reactive Skill proc fires for free when allies hit low-HP enemies, dramatically raising Skill frequency. Still needs killable adds to sustain the loop.
Single-target Quantum Hunt DPS built around the Resurgence talent — defeating an enemy grants a true extra turn (not action advance) with an 80% DMG boost for 3 turns and 25% Quantum RES PEN while in Amplification. Skill (360% ATK) and Ultimate (720% ATK) are the primary damage tools. A reactive Skill proc fires automatically when any ally attacks an enemy at 50% HP or lower (once per Seele-turn, SP-free, no Energy) — the reactive cast can itself trigger Resurgence. A2 Nightshade adds a stacking +50% DMG on kill (max 150%). Ramp-up is violent but still needs killable adds to sustain the loop.
Key Mechanics
- Resurgence grants a true extra turn, not an action advance — buffs do not tick down during extra turns. The 80% DMG boost and 25% Quantum RES PEN persist through the extra turn. Nightshade (A2) stacks also persist, building toward +150% DMG over the course of a kill chain.
- The reactive Skill proc is explicitly NOT a follow-up attack — follow-up buffs from Robin's Concerto or Tribbie do NOT apply to it. However, Skill-specific buffs DO apply (In the Night's Skill DMG stacks, Cerydra's Skill amplifiers). The reactive Skill can itself trigger Resurgence on kill, chaining into an extra turn without Seele spending SP on her own turn.
- Cerydra is the standout synergy partner — Cerydra's kit explicitly rewards Skill spammers, and Seele's reactive proc adds one extra Skill cast between each of Seele's turns (the first qualifying ally attack on a ≤50% HP enemy triggers it). In multi-enemy content, the reactive proc fires reliably every Seele-turn, feeding Cerydra's Charge generation.
- Kill dependency is still Seele's defining constraint — if enemies survive attacks, Resurgence never triggers and the damage loop collapses. HP inflation each patch raises the one-shot threshold.
- SP economy remains critical on Seele's own turns, but the reactive Skill proc is a free damage instance that consumes 0 SP. SP-positive supports like Sparkle are essential to offset Seele's -1 SP per self-cast Skill.
- The 25% SPD buff from Skill (3-turn duration) is permanent uptime in practice. Base 115 SPD becomes ~143 in-combat with one stack; at E2 with double stacks (+50%) reaches ~172 SPD.
- Ultimate always benefits from its own Amplification state because it enters the state before dealing damage. Double Resurgence combo still works: kill with Skill → Ultimate kills a second target → Resurgence extra turn kills a third.
- Robin-kill-steal caveat: Robin's Concerto Additional DMG can secure the kill on a low-HP target that Seele intended to finish, which credits the kill to Robin rather than Seele and voids Resurgence. Most impactful in multi-wave content where Seele leans on ally-finished kills; less relevant at E6 where Butterfly Flurry ally-kill triggers do grant Resurgence.
- Pure Fiction wave-transition loses Resurgence state: Resurgence's 80% DMG boost, 25% Quantum RES PEN, and A2 Nightshade stacks do NOT carry across PF wave transitions. Seele effectively loses one buffed-turn worth of damage on every wave shift, which is a real constraint for PF kill-chain planning.
Best Seele Teams
Standard Hypercarry
Universal Seele composition pairing two amplifiers with any reliable sustain. Post-Novaflare, Cerydra and Sparkle are the premier amplifier options — Cerydra for Skill amplification (the reactive proc doubles effective Skill frequency), Sparkle for SP generation and CRIT DMG. Silver Wolf fills the flex slot for Quantum implant and DEF shred. Fu Xuan provides both sustain and CRIT Rate. Works across all content types.

Ashveil Dual Carry
Seele paired with Ashveil as a passive amplifier and second DPS. Ashveil provides permanent 40% DEF Reduction on all enemies and 40% CRIT DMG to the whole team via A6, requiring zero active coordination. Seele's Skill and reactive procs naturally hit the Bait (the lowest-HP marked enemy), each generating 8 fixed Energy for Ashveil. A single advance support covers Seele's SP needs and buffs both carries, with Fu Xuan as the preferred sustain for her CRIT Rate contribution to Seele.

Seele Investment Priority
- E1 — +15% CRIT Rate AND 20% DEF ignore vs enemies at ≤80% HP — two stacking effects that directly improve her ability to secure kills and trigger Resurgence. Strongest first target due to dual scaling on the attacks most likely to chain Resurgence.
- LC S1 — Archer's signature (The Hell Where Ideals Burn) provides ~80% ATK at 10 stacks S1 plus 32% CRIT DMG. The ATK stacks cover Basic, Skill, Ultimate, AND the reactive Skill proc. Unlike In the Night, no SPD breakpoint — stronger in both high-ATK and low-ATK teams.
- E2 — SPD Boost from Skill stacks twice (50% total). Raises in-combat SPD from ~143 to ~172, enabling substantially more turns per cycle. Particularly strong in Pure Fiction with multiple targets to chain.
Seele Relics and Stat Targets
Recommended: Genius of Brilliant Stars with Rutilant Arena
Stat targets: CRIT Rate 70-80%+, CRIT DMG 150-160%+, ATK 2600-2900+, SPD 115-160
Main stats: Body: CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG · Feet: ATK% · Sphere: Quantum DMG > ATK% · Rope: ATK%
Best Seele Light Cones
- The Hell Where Ideals Burn (Best in Slot): Archer's signature LC — best-in-slot for Seele post-Novaflare. Beats In the Night in high-ATK teams (Silver Wolf / Sparkle) via its ~80% ATK stack at 10 stacks S1, and widens the lead in low-ATK teams (Sunday / Ruan Mei / Tingyun) because A2 Nightshade already self-supplies 230% DMG, making raw ATK the missing stat. No SPD gate — the 80% ATK bonus at 10 stacks S1 covers Basic, Skill, Ultimate, AND the reactive Skill proc. In high-ATK teams, Rutilant Arena is preferred over Glamoth because Archer's 80% ATK diminishes Glamoth's 12% ATK bonus (ornament tree authored in relicBuild).
- In the Night: Seele's own signature LC — closest alternative to Archer S1 post-Novaflare. Gap narrows in high-SPD builds where SPD-scaling stacks reach cap. Provides CRIT Rate plus CRIT DMG/DMG boosts scaling with SPD above 100. With Seele's Skill granting 25-50% SPD, she easily reaches 6 stacks for maximum benefit. Covers all three attack types (Basic, Skill, Ultimate) matching her full rotation, and the Skill DMG stacks DO apply to the reactive Skill proc — every reactive cast benefits from the full SPD-scaling Skill DMG bonus.
- Swordplay: Battle Pass 4-star with stacking DMG% (up to 80% at 5 stacks S5) when repeatedly hitting the same target. Excellent in single-target boss scenarios where Seele maintains focus. Loses all stacks when switching targets, significantly reducing value in multi-wave content where Seele chains Resurgence kills.
- Only Silence Remains: Provides ATK% and CRIT Rate when 2 or fewer enemies are present. More consistent than Swordplay in scenarios where enemies cycle in but are quickly eliminated. Reliable in boss stages; loses the CRIT Rate bonus in crowded multi-wave content.
Seele FAQ
Who works best with Seele in HSR?
Seele's best team options include Sparkle, Silver Wolf, Fu Xuan. StarGuide rates teammates by role and composition fit so the recommendation reflects how the character is actually played.
What relics should Seele use?
Seele's recommended relic setup is Genius of Brilliant Stars with Rutilant Arena, with stat targets around CRIT Rate 70-80%+, CRIT DMG 150-160%+, ATK 2600-2900+.
What is the best light cone for Seele?
The Hell Where Ideals Burn is the top listed light cone for Seele. Archer's signature LC — best-in-slot for Seele post-Novaflare. In high-ATK teams, Rutilant Arena is preferred over Glamoth because Archer's 80% ATK diminishes Glamoth's 12% ATK bonus (ornament tree authored in relicBuild).
How should I invest in Seele?
Seele's first listed investment priority is E1. +15% CRIT Rate AND 20% DEF ignore vs enemies at ≤80% HP — two stacking effects that directly improve her ability to secure kills and trigger Resurgence. Strongest first target due to dual scaling on the attacks most likely to chain Resurgence.
Important Notes
- Requires killable adds to sustain Resurgence — boss-only fights without add waves still shut down her damage loop. The reactive Skill proc mitigates but does not fix this weakness.
- Extremely SP-hungry on her own turns — at E2 with ~172 SPD, Seele consumes Skills faster than most teams generate them. The reactive proc is SP-free but Seele's self-casts still demand SP-positive supports like Sparkle.
- Enemy HP inflation each patch forces ongoing relic and teammate investment to maintain one-shot thresholds. Power ceiling requires continuous upkeep.
- The reactive Skill proc is NOT a follow-up attack — Robin Concerto, Tribbie follow-up vulnerability, and similar follow-up-scoped buffs do NOT amplify the reactive proc. Skill-specific buffs (In the Night, Cerydra) DO apply.
- Current boss-focused MoC cycles can feel weak — Seele needs multi-wave content to showcase the reactive proc and kill chains. Pure Fiction is her strongest mode post-Novaflare.
- At the highest level of gameplay, optimized Seele still uses Basic ATK frequently for SP management. The Novaflare does not buff Basic ATK damage — the reactive proc and multiplier increases only improve Skill and Ultimate.
- Robin Concerto Additional DMG (and any other ally-sourced additional damage that credits the ally rather than Seele) can claim the killing blow on a low-HP enemy Seele intended to finish, which prevents Resurgence from triggering on that kill. Most relevant in multi-wave content where Seele relies on finishing weakened adds.
- Resurgence buff and A2 Nightshade stacks do not carry across Pure Fiction wave transitions — Seele loses one buffed-turn of damage at each wave shift, which compounds across long PF cycles.
- Manual play strongly preferred over auto — auto cannot fully capitalize on kill-chain timing (which target to finish, when to hold Ultimate for a guaranteed kill) or Resurgence window management. Roughly 10-20% ceiling loss on auto play.
