AoE Erudition DPS with a dual-cost Ultimate (90 or 180 energy). Excels as The Herta battery or solo AoE carry in Pure Fiction. Gains stacking CRIT Rate from his Talent, rewarding multi-target hits.

AoE Erudition DPS with a dual-cost Ultimate system (90 or 180 Energy). Skill hits all enemies for Physical DMG. Talent regenerates 3 Energy per enemy hit and stacks Apotheosis (2.5% CRIT Rate per stack, up to 10 stacks for 25% free CRIT Rate). The 90-cost Ultimate deals moderate AoE Physical DMG, while the 180-cost Ultimate deals heavy AoE Physical DMG plus 6 bounce hits to random enemies. Manages energy through multi-target Talent procs and support batteries to cycle between the two Ultimate tiers.

Key Mechanics

Dual Ultimate choice: 90-cost for fast AoE or battery playstyle (feeding The Herta Interpretation stacks), 180-cost for maximum single-cast damage. Never mix — commit to one playstyle per composition.
Energy generation scales directly with enemy count. Against 5 enemies: Skill generates 30 base + 15 Talent = 45 Energy. Against 1 enemy: Skill generates 30 + 3 = 33 Energy. This makes 180-cost cycling viable only in multi-target content.
180-cost Ultimate bounce hits ignore defeated targets, concentrating remaining bounces on surviving enemies. Against a single surviving enemy, all 6 bounces hit it for massive single-target damage.
In The Herta battery playstyle, always spam 90-cost Ultimate to maximize Interpretation stack generation (6 stacks per cast). Argenti personal damage becomes secondary — The Herta is the primary damage dealer.

Argenti as an energy battery for The Herta. Spam 90-cost Ultimates to feed her Interpretation charges — 6 stacks per cast. She returns massive CRIT DMG buffs (40-80%) while dealing the bulk of team damage. Requires a second Erudition character to activate The Herta A4 Trace (50% teamwide DMG). Argenti role shifts from main carry to enabler — his personal damage is secondary. Never use the 180-cost Ultimate in this playstyle as it wastes action time and reduces charge generation.

AoE Hypercarry

Argenti as main DPS using the 180-cost Ultimate for nuclear AoE damage — an upfront blast plus 6 random single-target bounces. Designed for Pure Fiction where multiple enemies enable fast energy gain (3 per enemy hit via Talent — 5 enemies = 15 energy per action). Use 90-cost Ultimate only to finish low-HP waves. Struggles in Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadow due to low enemy counts that dramatically slow energy generation.

Investment Priority

E1 — Each Apotheosis stack also gives 4% CRIT DMG — at 10 stacks, that is 40% CRIT DMG on top of 25% CRIT Rate. Most impactful eidolon by a wide margin and the consensus first target.
E6 — 30% DEF ignore on Ultimate is a rare multiplicative multiplier that scales up against high-DEF bosses and elites. Strong enough to prioritize over signature.
LC S1 — Into the Unreachable Veil pushes Skill and Ultimate DMG and refunds SP on 180-cost Ultimate, improving team economy. Get after high-value eidolons.
