What Should You Upgrade Next in Honkai Star Rail? — Next Best Action
StarGuide's Next Best Action simulates every possible upgrade on your account — each unowned character, every eidolon level, and every light cone acquisition — then ranks them by how much they raise your power score. Instead of guessing whether to pull, eidolon, or grab a light cone, you see the single highest-impact move first, scored across Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow.
How does Next Best Action rank upgrades?
You pick a DPS from your owned and meta characters, and the simulator runs every pull, eidolon upgrade, and light cone acquisition for that DPS's compositions. Each option is scored by its power-score delta and sorted by efficiency, with per-mode before/after team comparisons on every upgrade card. Computation streams in progressively so the highest-impact results appear first instead of waiting for a full pass. The baseline matches the score shown on your Trailblazer Report, using the same team generator and formulas documented on the methodology page.
Can I plan multiple pulls before spending?
Yes. Tapping any upgrade row commits it to a staged list rendered as chips in the top banner. The simulated account power updates in real time and every composition's upgrade list recomputes against the staged overlay, so you can plan a multi-pull commitment — say, an E0 character plus their signature light cone plus an E1 — and see the combined power gain before spending a single jade. Stages persist across DPS switches; clicking a staged chip removes it and recomputes from the new baseline. A Lock-a-Team picker reserves teams so the simulator doesn't double-count characters across plans.
Is Next Best Action a premium feature?
Next Best Action is a Supporter-tier feature, included free in the trial and any active free preview. It is the upgrade-priority companion to the free Pull Advisor (which characters to pull) and the Banner Advisor (whether the current banner is worth it). It lives inside the Jade Strategy hub so staged upgrades flow into your overall pull budget — open it directly at Next Best Action. Pricing is on the support page.
