Honkai Star Rail Team Investment Paths — Build Order Guides

StarGuide's Team Investment Paths are step-by-step cross-character build order guides for popular Honkai Star Rail team compositions. Each path answers: which characters to pull, which eidolons matter, which signature light cones are worth it, and in what order. Unlike single-character guides that tell you what to build in isolation, investment paths show you the optimal order across all four team members so you never over-invest in one character while another drags the team down.

How are Investment Paths structured?

Each path covers a specific team composition and is organized into three phases. Team Assembly covers getting the core characters onto your roster, including which banner to prioritize if you're missing multiple pieces. First Upgrades ranks the highest-impact early investments: the eidolons and light cones that move team power the most per jade spent. Deep Investment covers signature light cones and premium eidolons for players who want to push a team to its ceiling. Every phase has explicit stopping points that tell you "this is good enough" so casual players know when to move on and dedicated players know what's left on the table.

What are flex slots?

Many team compositions have one or two flexible positions where multiple characters can fill the same role. Investment paths let you pick your preferred character for each flex slot, and the remaining steps adjust to your choice. For example, a Firefly Super Break path might let you choose between Gallagher and Lingsha as your sustain, then show you the investment steps for whichever you selected. Your flex choices are saved so you can revisit the path without reconfiguring.

Does it track my progress?

If you've imported your roster, each step in the path is enriched with your current state: whether you own the character, your eidolon level, which light cone you have equipped, and whether the character is currently on an active banner. Steps you've already completed are visually marked so you can see at a glance where you are in the path. For account-wide upgrade ranking that considers every path at once, use Next Best Action, and for per-character deep dives see the character database.
